The Bestmed Jock Classique 2016
Friday, 15 July – Sunday, 17 July
Location: Mbombela Stadium, Nelspruit
The Bestmed Jock Classic is the only seeding event for the Cape Town Cycle Tour in July. It’s a 1 day, 3 stage bike race that covers 154km and 2900M of ascent. Only 800 riders will take part in one of the toughest road races in our calendar.
Kingfisher Night Trail Run
Friday, 15 July
Location: Wingate Golf Estate, Pretoria
This Golf Estate night trail run offers two routes – a 5km and 10km. No running licenses are needed and children under 13 can register for free on the night.
St Andrews Eco Trail Run
Saturday, 16 July
Location: Huddle Golf Course and Recreational Centre, Edenvale
This run, walk and/or bike event is part of the many Mandela Day events around the country. All proceeds from the event go to uBambiswano, an Outreach Programme initiated by St Andrew’s School for Girls which provides supplement education and resources to educationally-disadvantaged children. There will also be a collection point for dog food and blankets which will be donated to shelter animals.
Dolphin Mile Surf Swim #7
Sunday, 17 July
Location: Marine Surf Lifesaving Club, KZN
The 7th Dolphin Miles Surf Swim for this year takes place this weekend. Swimmers must be over 10 years old and need to wear a cap to take place.
Total Sport Ladies Race Durban
Sunday, 17 July
Location: Berea Rovers Sports Club – Durban
Durban roads are going to be filled with women taking part in the Total Sport Ladies Race in support of the Pink Drive this week. There’s a 5km and 10km and if you look out you may spot ambassador Phindi Gule who’ll be running.
