The Featherbed Trail Run
Tuesday, 6 July
Location: Cruise Café, Waterfront Drive, Knysna
The Featherbed Trail Run is part of the Kysna Oyster Festival and comprises of 3 events. The Coelacanth trail is a hard 15 km, the Seahorse trail run which is 11km and the newest addition the Blue Duiker 5km trail run
Kids MTB Skills Course
Thursday, 7 July & Friday, 8 July
Location: Giba Gorge MTB Park, KZN
Catered for kids, 6 years and up, this 2 day skills course will cover essential riding skills. It’s designed to build confidence, get kids riding and having fun on their bikes.
Momentum Cape Times Knysna Forest Marathon & Half
Saturday, 9 July
Location: The Glebe – Knysna
Part of the Kysna Oyster Festival’s Big5 challenge, this forest run offers you highlights you won’t get in any other race. Most of the race takes place in the forest with breath-taking views. The only way to get to the start is aboard local taxis early in the morning. The start temps are frigid so if you’re taking part dress warmly, anything you discard will be donated.
Jump City Challenge KZN
Saturday, 9 July
Location: uShaka Marine World, Durban
This adventure challenge begins just before 6pm and has groups going out in batches. The theme is Pirates and contestants have a chance to find hidden treasures and prizes throughout the course. It is 8km and features 22 obstacles, some wet some dry.
Grahamstown 2 Sea
Sunday, 10 July
Location: Start – Pennypinchers Warehouse off Rautenbach Road, Grahamstown
This 58km road race is a chilled cycle from Grahamstown to Port Alfred. It begins with some climbing followed by a steep downhill. The rest is lazy country road.
