  1. The LUSH Clarens Festival

Thursday, 24 March – Sunday, 27 March

Location: Clarens, Free State

The LUSH Clarens Festival offers something for everyone. LUSH is situated in the foothills of the beautiful Maluti and Rooiberg Mountains. An area nicknamed the “Jewel of the Free State”. This 4 day event includes a music festival, MTB and trail run.

The music festival starts on Thursday and runs through to Sunday. Performances include appearances by Jeremy Loops, Civil Twilight, The Parlotones, Good Luck, Josie Field & Laurie Levine amongst others.

The three-day MTB tour begins on Thursday and covers a total of 135km. Each day offers something unique, allowing riders to discover the magnificent mountain surroundings.

The trail events are set to happen on Saturday to Sunday. The distances vary from 5km -21km.

You can enjoy the full festival experience by choosing one of the camping options.

  1. Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon

Friday, 25 March – Saturday, 26 March

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

The Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon is known as the most beautiful marathon in the world. Close on 26 000 participants will flock to the Western Cape to take part in one of the events. There is the 56km Ultra Marathon and half marathon. In addition, there are kiddies fun runs on Friday as well as the Trail run and International friendship run.

  1. Randburg Harriers Easter 100km

Friday, 25 March – Sunday, 27 March

Location: Randburg Harriers, Republic Road, Randburg, Central Gauteng

Affectionately known as “the poor man’s Two Oceans”, this three-day classic attracts the hard-core of local endurance running. A total of 100km of running is split over three days, making it a very popular training event. Those who complete the full 100km are eligible for a long sleeve t-shirt. Bring the family and a braai on Sunday and enjoy a lazy day in the sun.

  1. Pennypinchers Cairnbrogie Adventure Easter Weekend

Saturday, 26 March – Sunday, 27 March

Location: Cairnbrogie Farm, Plettenberg Bay

The Cairnbrogie Dairy Farm in Plett plays host to a weekend of outdoor adventure. It begins on Saturday with a trail run and night MTB event. The routes are challenging and go through cattle paths, fynbos filled kloofs, dams, single tracks and forested areas.

Sunday is the Surfski competition which can be entered individually or as teams.

  1. Spur Adventure Sprint Race

Sunday, 27 March

Location: Paul Cluver Wine Estate, Grabouw, Western Cape

This adventure race consists of mountain biking, trail running and both dry and wet obstacles. You can enter solo or in teams of 2’s and 3’s. There is also a kiddies race (3 -7 years). Along with a bike, helmet and running shoes, make sure to bring water bottles – there are no water points.
