4. 71th Jackie Gibson Marathon & 4th Alan Ferguson Half Marathon
Sunday, 3 April
Location: Klipriviersberg Recreation Centre, Johannesburg
The full marathon double laps the half and is also a Comrades Qualifier. Runners’ Guide gives it a 4 rating, so chances of a PB are slight. However, a difficult route means great training.
Dolphin Mile Surf Series #1
Sunday, 3 April
Location: Marine Surf Lifesaving Club, KZN
This is the first race in the 2016 series. The Triple distance surf swim of 5.6km is for those swimmers wanting to test their long distance abilities. There is also a 3km, 1.6km and 800m event for shorter distance swimmers. This is the perfect training for those planning on taking part in the Ultra in Port Elizabeth later this month.
