  1. Born 2 Run Night Trail Run

Wednesday, 29 June

Location: St.Stithians College, 40 Peter Place, Lyme Park, Sandton

Born 2 Run Running Club is hosting their second night trail run on the grounds of St Stithians. There are 2 routes, a 5km and 10km which takes runners along a challenging trail. It’s a family friendly event so bring everyone for a mid-week night out.

  1. Suits & Sneakers Fixed Event

Thursday, 30 June

Location: Nedbank Head Office Auditorium, 135 Rivonia Road, Sandton

Suits & Sneakers, South Africa’s informal university is hosting one of their free Fixed events this Thursday evening. John Sanei will be talking about how language impacts your success, and will show the audience how what you say impacts the world around you.

  1. Momentum Weekend Argus Cycle Tour

Saturday, 2 July – Sunday, 3 July

Location: Pick n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival Grounds, Waterfront Drive Knysna.

The Knysner Oyster Festival’s BIG 5 Challenge kicks off this weekend with the two day family cycling festival. There are events for every age and level of athlete. Saturday is the MTB events (80km, 50km, 30km and 15km) and Sunday is the road races (100km which is a seeding event for the Cape Town cycle tour and 50km). There’s also the children’s tour and Family Forest Dam run on Sunday.

  1. Knysna Dragon’s Lagoon Mile Swim

Sunday, 3 July

Location: Cruise Cafe, Ferry Terminal, Knysna

The Knysna Dragon’s Lagoon Mile Swim is part of the Kysna Oyster Festival Big 5 Challenge. It’s a one mile open water swim; but athletes opting to do the Big5 Lite can do the 11km Harbour2Heads Lagoon Challenge paddle instead.

  1. PEHR Burry Stander Sardine MTB & Trail Run Festival

Saturday, 2 July – Sunday, 3 July

Location: Marks Park Sports Club, Emmarentia, Gauteng

This two day festival begins with MTB events on Saturday. In the evening there will be a “festival” with a live band, beer tent, bring and braai, mini MTB obstacle course and more. Then on Sunday, put on your trail takkies for a trail run. Proceeds from the event go to The Burry Stander Foundation and NSRI.
