The new Greenis Twin Star Juicer enables anyone to create the freshest, most nutrient dense cold-pressed juice, in minutes, at home. This is also the world’s most compact slow juicer, designed to maximize juice yield and nutrient preservation without taking up to much space in your kitchen. It has a unique double feeding tube, which means faster juicing and an ability to add two different ingredients simultaneously – allowing them to blend together for best nutrition intake and taste. In fact, each detail of the Greenis Twin Star Juicer is designed for ease of use, as well as to deliver maximum flavour and nutrition in each glass of freshly pressed juice.
The Greenis Twin Star Juicer comes with 2 different screens (or strainers) – a fine screen for the purest juice and a blank screen for making delicious frozen treats like sorbets. There is even a tofu making set (haven’t got around to trying that yet!).
The Greenis Twin Star Juicer is a slow or cold-press juicer, which according to studies*, means the juice has more nutrients, natural fibres and a higher antioxidant value. Most other home juicers you’ll be familiar with are called centrifugal juicers. These use fast-spinning blades to extract the juice, which generates heat and destroys nutrients.
Greenis redesigned the juicing system, which results in a higher juice yield and more nutrients from your ingredients.
To get the most out of your juice, refrigerate your fruit and vegetables before juicing so they’re nice and cold. You’ll also want to remove hard peels like citrus or unusable tops like carrot and beet tops. If you’re making a recipe with a variety of fruit, feed them at the same time through the two chutes and close the spout so they mix in the juicing chamber.
To celebrate the arrival of the Greenis Twin Star Juicer in South Africa, we’ve created 5 different delicious and nutrient packed juices to nourish you whether it’s first thing in the morning, before a workout, as a mid-day pick me up, or to keep colds and flu’s at bay.
The Athlete’s Beet Juice
Beets + Apple + Strawberry + Lemon
Beet juice has been shown to have performance boosting effects, making it a favourite pre-workout booster among athletes. The nitrates in beets are converted to nitric oxide in your body that can enhance energy extraction from oxygen. In other words, beet juice opens your blood vessels and allows more oxygen in. This kills cancer cells and keeps you from getting as winded, allowing you to perform better.
In addition to the beets there are strawberries and apples to add natural sweetness, Vitamins C and B, anti-oxidants and a little bit of fibre. The lemon juice is there to add a bit of tartness and of course an added dose of Vitamin C.
Ingredients
Makes 200ml
3 beets, peeled and quartered
1 cup strawberries, washed and tops removed
1 red apple, washed, cored and quartered
½ lemon, peeled and pips removed
Directions
Feed your ingredients through the juicer. Transfer the juice to a glass or bottle and enjoy immediately or store in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Carrots + Orange + Ginger
With carrots, orange and ginger this is the ultimate Vitamin C booster. Great for keeping your immune system strong, those sniffles at bay and giving you a hit of energy.

In addition, minerals in carrots help oral health by preventing cavities and tooth decay.
The oranges add extra Vitamin C along with fibre, potassium and B vitamins.
The final ingredient, ginger can help relieve congestion and colds, aids digestion, freshens
breath and due to its anti-inflammatory properties helps relieve pain.
