Each recipe contains a few recipe hacks with tips and ideas on how to change to recipes to suit your preferences, how to best prepare them ahead of time and store them for best freshness.

The Recipes

Each healthy budget recipe was created using ingredients that you can easily get at most supermarkets,  are inexpensive and familiar,  and many of which you probably have sitting at home.  We created this collection because we believe that eating healthy isn’t about spending crazy amounts of money on the latest superfood or eating bland food.  Eating healthy can be tasty, varied and budget friendly; and we want to show you how to eat better - No matter your budget.

Questions & Answers

Do the recipes follow a specific diet?
No, we have used the basic principles of healthy eating (lots of fresh produce, minimal processed food, lean proteins and healthy fats as the basis of all the recipes). That being said, there is a wide range of recipes suited to various diets like gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, low-carb, sugar free and carnivore.
Were the recipes created by a dietician or nutritionist?
No, The information in the Healthy Eating on a Budget recipe e-book, is our personal opinion, based on our own research and does not replace professional medical or nutritional advice. We strongly recommend consulting your personal physician if you have any medical conditions before embarking on any dietary changes.
Are the recipes easy to make?
Yes, all the recipes can be made by beginner cooks.
What if I don’t have the right ingredients?
At the end of each recipe, we’ve included recipe hacks which give you alternative ingredients or methods in which to make the recipes. We believe that recipes are rarely set in stone, and encourage you to use them as inspiration and change them up based on your personal preferences.
Do I need a lot of cooking utensils to make the recipes?
We’ve tried to keep the utensils basic. Aside from preparation knives, spoons, spatulas, pots and pans, some recipe require a food processor or blender and a stand mixer.
Can the recipes be made ahead of time?
Yes, the majority of recipes can be made in advance and stored for later use.
What if I have a question about a recipe?

Do I have to buy the entire basic pantry to make the recipes in the book?
No, while most items in the pantry are used throughout the book, the pantry staples includes many basics that you are able to swap out for others based on preferences (we show you how to substitute).
Are the recipes kid friendly?
Yes, our recipes are tasty and simple enough for young palettes. However, picky eaters may be harder to please!
Can I share the recipes?
We prefer that you share the link to the recipe e-book, if you want to share the recipes with friends. If you would like to publish any material in the e-book you need to email info@nutreats.co.za to obtain permission as it is copyrighted and sharing without permission is an infringement.
