Location: Broederstroom, Hartbeespoort

For those trail runners looking for a bigger challenge than the usual Trail Series® routes, take on this longer XL version of the Leeuwenkloof route. This is a stand-alone race and these race results do not form part of the Gauteng Winter Trail Series® results.

2018 Endurade JBayX Trail Run Series

Location: SuperTubes Park, Da Gama Road, Jeffrey’s Bay

The J-BayX is unique in concept, entailing 3 individual 20km Trail Runs, all starting 12-hours apart, showcasing the best of the Jeffrey’s Bay area. The total distance covered will be just over 60km and will surely test the ‘mettle’ & endurance of all participants. All 3 events will take place in the Jeffrey’s Bay area, with the WinterFest Hub, as the race village.

This is an entire weekend event. It starts with a trail run on Friday followed by dinner. On Saturday and Sunday more trail runs and for mountain bikers an MTB race on Sunday.

South Coast Fever Series #1

Location: Port Edward Holiday Resort

There is both MTB and trail run options. The routes are single track on the 45km route over natural rock bridges, streams and dam walls. Incredible views of the Umtamvuna river gorge and Indian Ocean.

The Scottburgh Funky Pants TRAIL event is designed so you can enjoy a moderate and enjoyable Trail run or walk, based at Scottburgh Main beach, followed by a chilled morning lounging on the beach. Cathedral Peak Challenge

Location: Cathedral Peak

The Cathedral Peak CHALLENGE is not for the faint hearted! The 20km trip starts at the Cathedral Peak Hotel and goes right to the top and back, with a total ascent of 1531m. It’s an incredibly tough route on one of the Drakensberg’s most beautiful peaks.

Secret Sunrise Fluffy Farmers Market

Location: Casterbridge Lifeslyle centre, White River

The theme is Winter Fluff so bring your fluffy stuff! Stay afterwards to gather some healthy hearty things for the house at the BFM Farmers Market at Casterbridge and enjoy a breakfast at Magnolia (on site) or Zannas cafe across the road afterwards.

Location: Halls Gateway To The Lowveld

This half marathon takes you through The Famous Halls Estate Past Rippling Rivers And Through The Cane Field, you may even spot a hippo. There’s also a 10km and fun 3km.

Num Num Trail Challenge

Date: Saturday, 28 July

Location: Pongola Express, Num-Num Trails Mpumalanga

With a field limited to 200 runners, this is will again be an exclusive challenge for fit trail runners who love pristine nature trails. The full course is 32km long with 1700 meters of ascent and over some of the toughest, most variable terrain at high altitude on the African Escarpment.
