I’ve made many an overnight oat dish, but never have I used yogurt in it. Instead, I’ve done the classic combo of oats, nut milk and chia seeds; every so often adding fruits or spices to change the flavour. I came across this recipe which used yogurt instead of milk to make a 2 minute overnight oat breakfast a gut friendly start to the day. Yogurt is filled with probiotics, which your gut loves, add that to the fibre of the oats and you’ve got yourself a power start to the day. Not only that, but the yogurt makes the oats extra creamy.
I added some of the Good Life Maca + Raw Cacao + Hemp mix for extra flavour and a recovery boost. It’s an optional addition, but I liked the taste it gives it and I try adding Maca to meals and drinks after speed runs, as it helps with recovery. Also, according to a podcast on Microbiome I happened upon, your microbiome likes hemp and chia seeds.
