This smoothie is a sit-down breakfast in one sip. No really, it includes oats and almond butter to keep you full, coffee to keep you awake and fruit to brighten your day.

 

I used this compote at the bottom, swirled it into the mocha breakfast smoothie and it pretty much made the smoothie. I reckon this strawberry-rhubarb jam would be amazing too. If you’re in a pinch a handful of berries muddled at the bottom of the glass will work just as well.

Coffee, Chocolate, Oats, Fruit a smoothie that's essentially an entire breakfast in one sip. This recipe is vegan.

Instructions
  1. Combine everything except the compote in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Divide the compote or fresh berries between two glasses. Pour the smoothie over it. Swirl it and drink.
Recipe Notes

Make sure your oats are gluten free if you want the recipe to be gluten free.
