Black Friday started in the US and in the past few years has exploded and invaded South Africa. Black Friday traditionally is just one day – the last Friday of November (the day after Thanksgiving in the US) and is a day where retailers supposedly offer the best sales. Nowadays Black Friday has turned into the entire weekend and for some the whole November. Black Friday 2019 takes place on the 29th of November.
Samantha Beckbessinger, author of Manage Your Finances Like a F*cking Grownup tweeted some sage advice for Black Friday, especially given the fact that many retailers slap Black Friday on deals that are no more special than offers throughout the year.
Below is a list of all the Black Friday Specials, it’ll be updated as we learn of more sales. One last word of advice, shop responsibility.
