Glacier Cradle Traverse

This 3-day stage race includes never-before ridden areas in the Cradle of Humankind, Muldersdrift, as well as tracks in adjacent estates and conservancies. Entries include everything from race fees, to accommodation, food, medical back-up and more.

Wings for Life World Run
Date: Sunday, 7 May
Location: Pretoria
The annual Wings for Life World Run takes places this Sunday in Pretoria. It’ll happen at the same time at various locations worldwide. There’s no finish line, your race stops when the catcher car catches you and all entry fees go towards research for Spinal Cord injuries. Suits and Sneakers 5

Location: Sandton Convention Centre, Sandton
Suits and Sneakers is similar to TED Talks. There will be four speakers on this particular night who present excellent content with an emphasis on masterful storytelling. Each speaker has between 20-30 minutes to share an impactful mentality. The guest speakers are:
Michael Jordaan (former CEO of FNB), Rich Mulholland (founder of Missing Link), Anele Mdoda (94.7fm radio presenter) and IN-Q (National Poetry Slam Champion & multi-platinum winning songwriter from the USA)

The Slave Route Challenge

Location: Grand Parade, Cape Town
This event traces the ‘slave route’ and honours those who built Cape Town.
There’s a 21km and 10km route which passes heritage sites like the whipping post where slaves were whipped, the hurling swing pump where slaves had to pump water for their masters, the company bell that rang to call slaves, gallows hill where slaves were executed, the Castle where slaves were imprisoned and tortured and the slave tree plaque where slaves were sold.

The FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN celebrates everything Cape Town – the vibe, the beautiful city, and the people. It’s a fast-paced 12km that follows the coastline through the Harbour, past key city landmarks, including Cape Town Harbour, Grand Parade and the V&A waterfront, before finishing at the Portside building in the heart of Cape Town.

Change of Season Trail Run

This is a fast course between the vineyards with great views and beautiful Wineland scenery. The long routes also use the neighbouring farm of Nooitgedacht terrain, so you’ll get some single track in the forest, jeep track through the vineyards and orchards.

Ingeli Sky Marathon

Location: Ingeli Forest Lodge
The Ingeli Sky Marathon is one of the 9 sanctioned South African SkyRunning Series. It’s a challenging mix of forest single track, climbing mountain paths, dirt jeep track and cut grass paths. The route is designed to pass through the most scenic parts of the area including waterfalls, streams and amazing views. In addition to the 42km run, there’s a 21km, 10km, and 5km trail.

BELL Big 5 Series # 1 – Zini River Estate Buffalo MTB Race

The Zini River Estate Buffalo MTB Race takes place in the small coastal village of Mtunzini providing the perfect weekend getaway for the family. With the race offering a 10km untimed fun ride, 25km and 50km options there really is something for everyone. All of the routes include a loop in the beautiful Zini River Estate which is home to various antelope as well as an abundance of birdlife and offers great views of the Mlalazi Estuary.

Wild Coast Outride

This is not a race, this is an MTB Adventure Outride Loop from Port Edward to Nyameni. This adventure will provide exceptional riding, breath-taking views, awesome single track and good laughs along the route. This 38km ride is a great introduction into riding the Wild Coast.

Karoo Moon Trail Run

Location: Bucklands Guest Farm – Karoo
The Karoo Moon is a two-day trail run following farm tracks and sheep and kudu footpaths along the Groot River and the Paardenberg Mountain. The first day is a 20km route and the second 12km.

Adventure Lisa’s Forest Run

Sondela Bela Bela Cycle Challenge

Location: Sondela Nature Reserve
The Sondela Bela Bela Challenge comprises of both a road race and an MTB event. The Road Challenge will take place on and the MTB Experience on Sunday.
The event will raise funds for some of the local charity organizations in Bela Bela. There will also be Kiddies Rides on Saturday and Sunday as well as entertainment.
