This month’s beauty finds is inspired by my obsession with tinted lib balms. Tinted lip balm became a go-to product for my no makeup makeup routine. It is a cost effective, quick and easy way to add color and glow. Once I discovered that lip-Ice’s Strawberry Sorbet was the perfect bright pink that works on lips, cheeks and eyes, I was on a mission to find the same result in different color tones. There isn’t a tinted lip balm in Dischem’s impulse isle that I haven’t tried. Not all tinted lip balms were created equal, so to save you from my predisposition of coming home with a new one every time you shop, here’s 5 of my most recent purchases.
1. Lip Ice Cherry
The Details
This cherry scented Lip Ice has a Fuchsia tint and the added Benefit of an SPF factor of 15.
The Review
Although the color payoff is similar to the Strawberry sorbet, it’s not as glowy. It also somehow feels a touch more waxy than the strawberry sorbet, and doesn’t glide onto the lips as well.
Good For
A muted fuchsia tone and cherry lovers.

2. Lip Ice Summer Melon
The Details
This lip ice has a barely-there tint but a gorgeous summery melon scent.
The Review
This lip-ice has the same glow as Strawberry Sorbet but barely has a tint. I was hoping for a peachy shade. It does however glide onto the lips well and smell divine.
Good For
Subtle almost-tint but no tint lip glow.

3. Softlips Tinted Lip Conditioner Rose
The Details
This Rose tint lip conditioner also has an SPF of 15.
The Review
SoftLips lip ice has a distinct feel on the lip which I do like, but I hate the mauve pearl tone of this balm. It does however smell divine.
Good For
If you like a pearl toned lip and a soft lips feel.

4. Labello Strawberry Shine
The Details
Labello’s Strawberry shine has the most subtle apple red tone.
The Review
Although I loved the strawberry scent, this was my least favorite textured feel.
Good For
Subtle almost-red lip tint.

5. Vaseline lip care Rosy lips
The Details
This lip balm’s only claim is “Rosy Lips”.
The Review
I love the feel of this lip balm, it feels very similar to applying vaseline on your lips (with a better scent) but it gives you absolutely no tint.
Good For
Those who love Vaseline.

I am weeping! I have been obsessed with Lip-Ice Strawberry Sorbet for years but they have recently changed the formula to this waxy version which doesn’t have shine or colour payoff. What was Lip-Ice thinking?! ????This item would have been the one product I would choose to be stranded with on a deserted island.
